Samuca Brazil

Born in Rio de Janeiro, he began his musical career at the age of 12, and since 1993 works as a professional musician.
He is a composer, cultural producer and multi – instrumentalist, his main instruments are drums and percussion.

Graduated in Music by UFMS – Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul;
MBA in Afro-Brazilian culture by IFJ – Faculdade Integrada de Jacarepaguá (studying)
Technician symphonic percussion at the Conservatório de Tatuí (attending).          Guitar and percussion teacher for 03 years in the Rede Municipal de Ensino in Campo Grande (MS);
He worked as a music teacher in the school chain of Latino Americano Campo Grande (MS);
Professor and founder of the carnival group “Onça Pantaneira” in Bonito (MS);
He created the percussion group of “Design Art and Culture of the Municipal School in Campo Grande MS”;
He founded the “Centro de Música”, where he served for 08 years as director, drum teacher and percussion;
He organized and taught several workshops, including:
Workshop “Tum pra lá e pá prá cá” with drummer Italo Bruno (DF); Workshop with drummer Virgil Donatti (Australia), where he was also responsible for opening the drumm with the band “1970 Jazz”; Lecturer Percussion Workshop on “Painel Funarte” addressing vibraphone and drum; Workshop with percussionist Ignacio Caio (MS / SP) when together they organized the “1st Mostra de Percussão de Mato Grosso do Sul”;
Juror for 4 consecutive years in the category “Bateria”in the street Carnival “Folia Popular” in Campo Grande (MS);
Gave the training course for teachers of state schools “Musica na escola” in the 1° Seminário de Artes – IESF, Campo Grande (MS);
Producer of Festival Odery stage MS/MT, opening the event with a box of solo to an audience of approximately 1,000 people and responsible for part composition for drums “Aquecendo os tambores” presented by the 10 finalists of the Festival;

Currently working on the production of its DVD “Levadas de baile” with emphasis on regional ritmia of Mato Grosso do Sul, which covers the genres of the Paraguayan culture, Argentina and gaucho theme of the monograph on the conclusion of UFMS music course and production Show Bateria Expressiva.
