The drummer, arranger and composer Marcio Kleber Santos da Costa Junior was born in Salvador – BA, come from a family of musicians, his mother a singer and his father a drummer, both from the gospel field they moved to São Gonçalo – RJ, at age of eleven, he started playing and studying the instrument, with fourteen; He played in the church, and a year later went on to study music in maestro Pixinguinha school where he studied with Walter (siri).

In this learning period went on to play in Jam city Session the (Groove do São) where he had the opportunity to play with Ramon Torres, Ricardo Massa, Igor Santiago, Eduardo Ferreira, Ozeas Miranda, George de Oliveira, Rogerio Dy Castro among others and attended several workshops and clinics with Kiko Freitas, Cuca Teixeira, Claudio Infante Mauricio Leite, Douglas Las Casas, Marcos Kinder, Wallace Santos, Chocolate Lulu Santos, Omar Landa and Raul Hernandez, and Natinho batera among others.

At age of seventeen he returned to Salvador – BA where he began to give drum lessons in evangelical churches, as became popular was invited to give lecture at the Escola de Musica Nota Jazz. In order to improve his technique and expand his knowledge went to study at the Escola da Musica Pracatum where he studied with the Patriarch one of the most respected teachers at the time and eventually became his assistant.

He was soon invited to teach classes in other music schools as: Temus Musica com Tecnologia, Centro Musical and the Conservatório de Musica Mozart.

He started playing in bar, and dance bands, then he never stopped, began holding workshops and clinical lectures.

Acting as sideman worked and recorded with many artists and bands of the Bahian scene as: Carla Cristina, Voa dois, Chica Fé, Estakazero, Rafique Saade Mambolada, Marcio Moreno, Marco Leandro Banda Lado Bom, Ale Mendes ex Kaoma, Frank e Alex, Menina Forrozeira, João Gonzaga, Ed Bala, Kina Rodrigues, the goiano singer Leo Correia, Os Romero, Alessandro Timbó and band Black Balaço. Following Chica Fé had the pleasure to share the stage with: Cheiro de Amor, Tuca Fernandes, Leo Santana Parangolé, Adelmo Casé Negra Cor, Norberto Cangaia de Jegue among many other band and several musicians among them are: Joel Moncorvo, Felipe Marks , Iran Laurindo, Jean Nascimento, Arturzinho Aguiar, Frank Negrao, Miqueias Santana, Ney Neto, Uendel Soares, Nelmario Marques, Danilo Sampaio, Leonardo Lima, Boca ex Netinho, Eric Almeida Jammil e uma noite band, Andre Luba, among many others.

Accompanying the bass Joel Moncorvo recorded his second work entitled Revoluções, held concerts and workshops throughout Brazil.

Participated in important events for his career as Tagima Dream Team, Expomusic, Power Click Day, Nagano Drum Festival, drummers meeting in Garanhuns, Orion Experience, and the Drummers e Drums.

Currently, Marcio Kleber is dedicated to workshops, clinics and classes.
